I found this blog which demonstrated how to make a 10 frame on the floor with painter's tape. Students then get to help solve problems collaboratively by being the "counters." This is a great differentiation strategy for learners who need to move and do in order to connect to the material! We did this in my Kindergarten class during math time last week and students were engaged the entire time! It really helped provide them with a concrete and visual representation of not just what a ten frame looks like, but what it means to them.
