This lesson introduces the notion of a sequence as a function whose domain is the counting numbers. Students calculate extended terms of various sequences and them try to write formulas for the nth term. Recursive definitions are introduced and compared with closed form definitions. Finally the Fibonacci sequence is recognized in an xray of a hand. This is an interesting and surprising lesson.
