This course is intended to prepare high school sophomores for continued study in college preparatory work, often AP English Language or Literature. The course can be taught over one year on a 7-8 period day or one semester on a 4-period day (for which it was originally intended).

This unit is for Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller. It includes prereading activities, complete vocabulary activities, complete reading guides, writing activities, target skills, supplementary reading, and assessments.
This unit focuses on The Crucible by Arthur Miller. It includes detailed lesson plans, classroom activities, and links to study guides and other resources. This unit also includes a final journalism-based project in which students reflect on the time period and the issues surrounding the text.
An explosion of inexpensive, readily available new media tools gives artists and social activists new opportunities to communicate with their audience. Rapid expansion of Web2.0 publishing and collaboration websites provides an instant, free medium for dissemination of content.
