Reviewer Comments:
- This resource has a whole series of really good project ideas that can be used in a Social Studies class. Although they are not tied to specific content, it would be easy to adapt any of the assignments to whatever topic is being studied. Some of the highlights include having students write about a telephone conversation between themselves and a historical figure, writing an ABC book about a particular topic, and creating an advertisement that relates to a specific time period. It is recommended that teachers have samples of the projects to show to students so they have a clear sense of what is expected of them for the assignment. Overall, a creative collection of assignments that allow for differentiation and authentic assessment in a standards based curriculum.
