This resource is a powerful unit that focuses on Social Justice. The unit covers a variety of people and ideas including Malcolm X, Susan B. Anthony, and Gandhi. Students read speeches, watch movies, answer essential questions, and ultimately write an essay on a student-chosen contemporary issue. All of the materials are included. Overall, a strong unit that challenges to think about important issues and apply what they have learned to a structured writing assessment.
