The purpose of this lesson plan is to teach middle school or early high school students about the steps of the scientific method. After participating in this lesson, students should be able to recall the steps of the scientific method, the definitions associated, and be able to recognize the steps for future experiments. The procedure of the lesson plan is to present the steps of the scientific method, define vocab, have the students participate in an experiment on the computer, and lastly to assess the comprehension of the scientific method.
