I. Define Structure Offline
1. How many levels of content will there be?
Collections/folders/subfolders/etc? Think of this as a “table of contents” for your content.
A folder for lesson plans, standards, additional materials?
Tip: It's helpful to create collections, then folders, and then add your content (many of your metadata settings will carry down from the top level)
2. What types of uploading will be done:
Curriki Lesson Plan templates
Wiki or HTML blocks of text
File upload of Word documents or PDFs
3. Which parts, if any, will be hidden from search?
Will the standards be useful as stand-alone content found in search results?
4. Establish and use naming convention of titles, folders, etc. Will vary by content type, etc.
Standard capitalization rules/grammar are always helpful!
