This is an excellent resource for teachers of grades K-12. There is a list of links to a variety of websites in mathematics. social studies, science, communication arts, as well as general resources that can be used in any classroom. The math links include such interactive sites such as "Math Glossary," manipulatives that can be used to solve problems in the "Everyday Math Resource," and games based on the NCTM Standards in the "NCTM Illuminations Activities." While these links provide activities that can be used as white board activities, they can also be used by students as at home practice. There is a range of links and some are definitely better than others. For example, the "Math Video" link has a section that is called "Word Problems." These word problems just ask a question and if the students gets the problem wrong, it tells him/ her but doesn’t give any suggestions about how to solve the problem. In addition to the links provided, many of them also have links to other recommended resources. Overall, this is a very helpful resource for both teachers and parents.
