Student are learning about animals in their core class.
Students will trace and cut out the body and legs of a turtle in green paper.
Then they will glue a paper bowl upside down to the body to look like a shell.
Then they can draw on a face and claws.
The next class they will paint the turtles shell any design they want.

Green construction paper
Turtle body tracers
This is a basic lesson and works best with kindergarten.
If time allows, you can read a book about turtles the first day before the project.
