Reviewer Comments:
- The eSkeletons Project is part of the interagency Digital Libraries initiative sponsored by the federal government. The website is “devoted to the study of human and primate comparative anatomy. It offers a unique set of digitized versions of skeletons in 2-D and 3-D in full color, animations, and much supplemental information.” Users can choose a particular bone and viewpoint for comparison. Supplemental activities include handouts, a bones song, and a variety of puzzles. This site is somewhat complicated to navigate and younger students would benefit from a teacher-guided tour, while older students may be able to navigate through the site on their own.
