This seven part resource includes a link to PBS kids –which contains of fables, fairy tales, rhymes and more. It also includes a complete lesson plan for third graders on reading and analyzing an Aesop fable and how to write their own fable on lying. Another lesson on fairy tales or fables is like a game show played with teams, which teaches students about characteristics about fairytales and fables. Students write their own stories, demonstrating various specific characteristics of their genre. A prewrite activity is included as well as a PPT template and other technology extensions. Lastly, 30 free Aesop’s fables are included.
