• This is a valuable resource that covers key people and events from the Civil War time period of 1861-1863. The resource provides relevant information about the major players and examines causes and effects of important events. While there is no lesson plan with objectives and procedures, this resource could be used in a variety of ways including as a student handout with questions or as background information for a lecture or as a resource for creating a timeline of War. When teaching the entire Civil War, it would be necessary to create a part two that covers information about the last few years of the War.
