The lesson plan begins with a review of content on offshoring and outsourcing in preparation for a project that asks students to design a university curriculum. The goal of the assignment is to have the students think about what American students need to learn in order to keep jobs from being outsourced. The project is valuable for students as a way of applying what they have learned as well as giving them the opportunity to think about future academic options and the importance of getting a good education. The lesson plan also includes a review sheet to help students prepare for the unit assessment. It should be noted that there are some classroom specific references that would need to be adapted by individual teachers.
