• This is a very useful resource that provides teachers with an overview of Indian history and culture. Especially useful are maps, charts of key people, trends, events, and global connections for each time period of modern Indian history. While this is not organized into a lesson plan with objectives or procedure, there are many ways that this resource could support learning about India. For example, it could be background information for a lecture, some of the information could be adapted into student worksheets with questions, or the different categories of information could be used in a jigsaw activity where groups of students become experts on some aspect of modern Indian history or culture.
