This asset provides a link to a teacher’s website that includes very good materials for teaching about global issues. There is a a course outline and expectations, a syllabus, and a series of lessons about high interest current issues. Topics include diversity, population, trade, economic development, and environmental concerns. Each of the lessons include links to relevant information and guide students through a variety of activities. Assignments include writing essays, conducting research, looking at images, and comparing past and current events. The lessons could make up an entire course or they could be integrated into other history courses to reinforce the study of global issues.
