• This 5 part resource on Othello begins with an external link to the Schmoop guide – which provides: a “nutshell” of background information and storyline of the play, analysis for themes, quotes, summary and study questions. The next part, Investigating Issues in Othello, is a lesson that uses LearniT-TeachiT 6E + S template for integrating technology within the curriculum. Students read the play, use Flip cameras, video edit, use class wiki or web page, and blog, mywebspiration account, Diigo or del.ic.ious (social bookmarking http://delicious.com/) account. An assessment rubric for the video presentation is included as well. Opportunity for exploration, explanation, elaboration, and extension are part of this lesson. The etext of the play is the third part of the resource. The last parts are rich multi mediated lessons from the Folger Shakespeare Library and Othello worksheets – all easily accessible to immediately usable by the teacher.
