• This video begins with a review of the meaning of exponents. Next, it leads into laws of exponents involving products. The video uses the definition of exponent to introduce each of the laws. Exponent laws described include the product rule, the power rule and the zero-exponent rule. Many examples of each property are given and described in detail. Examples using numbers as well as variables are given. The video does a nice job of giving simple examples and then moving to more complex. When using this in a classroom, it would be helpful to stop and check for student understanding after each property is introduced. Overall, this is a good introduction to these three exponent rules.
