This resource is a short PowerPoint slide show with a handout that introduces students to the differences between Medieval and Renaissance art. There are two slides in each category and thoughtful questions that guide students through a simple analysis of the paintings. This resource could be used in a variety of units including ones on European History or Art History. It would be helpful to provide students with background information about the time periods to increase their understanding of the connection between the art and the history.
