The Drawing and Painting curriculum celebrates the power of the mark of the human hand, with traditional methods and craft, while also embracing an innovative and expanded definition of the discipline. The student will be challenged to work both on and off canvas, to push into the experimental, and to redefine the rules of art itself. The curriculum of the Drawing and Painting program ensures a comprehensive exposure to an array of approaches to media, content, imagery and review. Students will be encouraged to explore the continuing traditions of drawing and painting as well working in pursuit of new forms and contemporary issues. Students will be highly encouraged to move between media within the discipline.
