This resource is a collection of six excellent previously reviewed resources for middle school ages. The first three resources are excellent reading lessons on guided comprehension, fishbone mapping and vocabulary building from ReadWriteThink, the website of the International Reading Association/National Council of Teachers of English. Another resource, What’s the Point of School is based on Neil Postman’s work and helps students to answer that question. A concise version of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 and book burning provides great discussion material and lastly, an excellent resource on Literature Circles is included.
