As part of an NEA-Pearson Global Fellowship initiative, this past year ('13-'14) I incorporated into my chemistry course a brand new unit: Chemical Conflicts Around the World. So little of what I have taught in my chemistry classroom the past 30 years connects the students to current affairs and international issues, and yet this world is becoming more and more globalized every day. This unit was designed to address some of these short-comings.

Since this unit is just one year old (field tested only once) this material should all be considered works in progress!
