This textbook on beginning Algebra is complete, interesting, and well designed. Its explanations are clear and correct. The order of topics works. It makes for dry reading though; there are no illustrated stories of teenagers selling pom-poms to their friends. A teacher using this as a text might have trouble convincing his or her students to read the text with any care. The textbook comes from CK12, which produces free digital open source texts.
