They are aligned to the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. This collection is a full course of material in the form of a textbook. The textbook is provided by FHSST (Free High School Science Texts). FHSST is a project that aims to provide free science and mathematics textbooks for Grades 10 to 12 science learners. The project was initiated by young South African scientists, and now brings together scientists from around the world who are willing to contribute to the writing of the books. The FHSST Mathematics textbook contains a total of 45 chapters to be used in grades 10, 11, and 12. At the end of this description is a complete Table of Contents. The textbook is broken into 5 sections: basics (Chapter 1), Grade 10 (Chapters 2-16), Grade 11 (Chapters 17-34), Grade 12 (Chapters 35-45), and Exercises. In this collection, you will find folders for each of these sections and chapters are found within.

Get the Math is an online resource of videos showcasing real world applications and uses of Algebra for middle and high school students. Videos are accompanied with interactive "challenges" for students to learn further.Teachers, look at the lesson plans in the Teachers section for the CCSS alignments.

CK-12 Foundation’s Basic Algebra Flexbook is an introduction to the algebraic topics of functions, equations, and graphs for middle-school and high-school students.

A work in progress, CK-12’s Algebra I Second Edition is a clear presentation of algebra for the high school student. Topics include: Equations and Functions, Real Numbers, Equations of Lines, Solving Systems of Equations and Quadratic Equations.

The Aussie Fir Tree task is a culminating task for a 2-3 week unit on algebra that uses the investigation of growing patterns as a vehicle to teach students to visualize, identify and describe real world mathematical relationships. Students who demonstrate mastery of the unit are able to solve the Aussie Fir Tree task in one class period.

Students use algebraic thinking to solve problems involving pattens,sequences, generalizations, and linear and non-linear functions.

This inquiry-based unit teaches students how to solve equations using algebra tiles. It hooks student interest with number tricks that magically undo themselves to give you back your original number, and builds on that concept to teach multi-step equation solving. It assumes no prior knowledge other than operations with positive and negative numbers.
