Pre-Requisite Knowledge & Skills:
Student are getting eggs in their classroom that will hatch into chicks in a week.
Students will glue strips of hay colored paper all around and inside of a paper bowl to look like the hay of a nest.
Then they will each get 2 styrofoam egg holders from an egg crate and will cut around the top to look like a cracked egg.
They will glue their 2 "egg shells" in the nest and glue a pom-pom into the shell to look like a chick.
They will be given googlie eyes to glue on the chick and a small diamond shaped paper that they should fold in half and glue on to look like a beak.

Modifications, Adaptations, & Accommodations:
This is a basic lesson and works best with kindergarten. Will work one-on-one with students who need extra help.
I like to integrate this lesson with the kindergarten teachers when they get their eggs to hatch in the classroom.
