• This project is appropriate for middle school or basic high school biology. It includes a rubric, student documentation sheet, presentation checklist and a few short answer questions. The content is good. It may be helpful to include teacher hints such as recommended edible options, project management tips, suggested websites for research, and an answer key / explanation of the ratings. An experienced teacher would be able to use these materials immediately in the classroom; however, a less experienced teacher may need to put in considerable work to make it usable. This resource inspires a creative and engaging alternative to the more traditional pencil and paper assessment.
