This lesson plan introduces the ideas around beliefs, myths, and fairy tales to students. Although a chunk of the lesson plan includes some classroom specific activities, there are a few ideas that could be adapted for a class that is beginning to learn about these topics. For example, students are asked to think about what makes them happy and what gives them a sense of safety. There is also a thoughtful homework assignment that asks students to interview an adult and to brainstorm definitions for the basic concepts. It should be noted that this appears to be an introductory lesson that is not linked to the larger collection of Social Studies 7.
