I love teaching children!I am a 29 year veteran of NC public schools. I am a National Board Certified Teacher (Middle Childhood Generalist) and I have renewed my certification. I have taught at a variety of grade levels and positions which, I feel, has greatly improved my success as an educator. My newest passion is to go beyond my classroom to mentor pre-service teachers at the college level. I would love to take my knowledge and skills and help education students become even more prepared for teaching.
I love my family! Up until a few months ago, there were 4 generations living in my home from my 94 year old mother to my 18 month old grandson. Both are a delight in my life. I have been married 30 years to my college sweetheart.
I am blessed to have a close circle of friends who enrich and complete me. I am a pretty lucky person.
